Dani & Brandon’s big day began with a soft sunset and perfect lighting on the beach in Venice, Florida. Dani chose a beautiful lace gown with a peek-a-boo back and wavy beach tresses look ~ the elegant and romantic sweetheart on the beach Brandon saw walking towards him. Brandon and the guys were sharp ~ the black suits were an awesome contrast to the sand and backdrop - regal and crisp. The images were gorgeous with the timeline planning & light of the evening sunset. The use of in camera natural sun flares around the glowing tan bride perfectly set off the scene for that Olde Florida feel ~ when tan, salty days in the sunshine were uninterrupted on a long Beach….for two sweethearts soaking in the sun of the fading day. I coordinated between my two cameras and multiple lenses to create and capture the mood, beach vibe and love they showed for each other during their ceremony to remember. Capturing the sunset around the bride, the glow of the shots of the wedding party as a whole, watching the sun create gorgeous natural light as I framed each shot and captured the exact moments that matter for years to come. Memories…. a beach wedding to remember.
Susie & Kieran's Couples Session
Flawless. Amazing. These are all understatements really. First, Susie came in a knockout dress- we had discussed the formal wear for the mood of the shoot, she even shot me a screenshot of the dress - which of course I thought “this is a definite yes” as it was long, flowy and with some peek-a-boo classy cuts in the skirt. Very elegant - classy yet romantic. Totally my style. When she arrived, I was blown away. It was a dark moody red in the most romantic way. The see through top layer was accented in embroidered flowers in contrast to a fine silk underlayer. The dark red with her complexion and dark hair was perfect. Kieran was sharp but comfortable in his light jeans and white button up- creating the juxtaposition we were going for yet dressy. I had told them we would be getting wet! So he opted for light jeans….and rocked it. Kieran was the tall, dark handsome and quiet type - his look, and care for his lady - showed through every photo though. The obvious kind of affection- as he held her close each shot, as he nuzzled her hair on cue…. It was easy to capture their story of two hearts, warm and in love. We found three shoot spots I had previously scouted and got to snapping images. They were cuddly naturally, I gave directions to tilt a chin down, turn towards each other etc and they naturally moved so very comfortably as I suggested. As I moved around them capturing different angles and looks for each position, they lovingly looked into each other’s eyes and made my job so easy. This is paradise. These are the sessions I live for…guiding couples to naturally connect and laugh with each other - letting them guide the session with hints and clues and giggles from me to relax them. Susie & Kieran are blessed. Blessed in Love. I can’t wait for Part Two of their Couples Session - as we opted for a two part package to fulfill all of their dreams this season. Key West Halloween Wedding
First of all ~ when I was told it was Halloween themed and there would be a casket….I about died myself lol. HOW FUN I thought. I knew it was going to be epic. Allie & Zack (or Flip his friends call him happily) got married at the private Thompson Island & Mansion in Key West. They rented the venue out in its entirety for the weekend. The wedding planner was on point, the location was relaxing and perfect, and of course the couple was naturally gorgeous. I was able to capture not only the beautiful and fun couple, but the arriving guests in their own Halloween attire: the entire Scooby Doo Team arriving in the Mystery Machine, a whole lot from the ‘penitentiary’ with orange jumpsuits and inmate numbers, a family of steampunk models & a whole lot more!!! Pikachu and Mrs. Kitty even showed up with their matching spouses. I was impressed by not only the planning and creativity - but the guests’ initiative to dress to impress in all aspects of the day’s theme. Jason from Friday the 13th officiated, marrying Allie & Flip - all the while remaining stoic and unbothered. Later, we crept away from the reception in the dark to capture some awesome ‘pumpkin head’ shots & some with Jason sneaking up from the palms. I was floored. Everything was fun. Everything was cool. Everyone was super sweet. I enjoyed every minute from the ‘First Look’ photos to the Halloween neon light shots under a glowing “Till Death”…. Allie’s outfit was accented by a dark hot red - earrings, flower in her hair, even little dinosaurs in the details. She wore viking style braids and loose flowing beach waves in her very long hair, accented by her carefree and fun attitude. Their motto was placated everywhere ~ “We can live like Allie & Zack if we want to…” They sure did. Everything said Allie & Zack all over it - the details, the imagery, the custom drink list at the bar (named after their dogs), and the happy & fun flow of the night. Yes…. I wanna live like Allie & Zack. You gotta check out the rest of the images! Click Gallery above!
